His interest in electronic dance music (EDM) started while playing video games, where he would listen to the music and learn the names of artists like Zedd, Hardwell, and Swedish House Mafia, among others. His love for dance music grew, and he became particularly fond of Progressive House, a sub-genre of EDM that dominated the early 2000s dance music scene.

Harper's passion for music production and DJing led him to start branding himself as "MH" in the summer of 2020. Despite his lack of experience in music production, Harper was determined to pursue his passion and collaborate with other producers to learn more about music production. His first song, "Rebirth," was produced with the help of his friend Nikolaev and featured a blend of old-school house music with a modern twist. The song was released on streaming platforms and quickly became a fan favorite.

Harper's success continued to grow, and "Rebirth" was eventually featured in the popular Roblox rhythm game "Robeats," where it became an interactive experience for fans. The exposure from the game helped MH gain more popularity and further solidified his position as an up-and-coming artist in the EDM scene.
